Wash Care Instructions for Organic Cotton Garments
Washing
Machine Wash Cold (Max 30°C / 86°F): Wash your organic cotton garments in cold water to prevent color fading and preserve fabric integrity.
Gentle Cycle: Use the gentle or delicate cycle to avoid wear and tear on the fabric and natural dyes.
Turn Garments Inside Out: To protect the natural dyes and fabric, turn your garments inside out before washing.
Detergent
Mild Detergent: Use a gentle, eco-friendly detergent that is free from harsh chemicals, bleach, and artificial fragrances. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers and affect the natural properties of the cotton.
No Bleach: Never use bleach or strong stain removers, as they can damage both the fabric and the environment.
Drying
Air Dry: For best results, lay your garments flat to dry or hang them in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading of natural dyes.
Avoid Tumble Drying: Do not tumble dry your organic cotton garments, as heat can cause shrinkage and weaken the fabric over time.
Ironing
Low Heat Ironing: If needed, iron on a low setting while the garment is still slightly damp or place a cloth between the iron and fabric to protect the fibers.
Steam Ironing: Use a steam iron to remove wrinkles without applying direct heat to the garment.
Storage
Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep your garments in a cool, dry area to avoid damage from moisture or excessive heat. Store them in a well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.
Stain Removal
Spot Clean When Necessary: If a stain occurs, gently blot the area with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh chemicals.
