Wash Care

Wash Care Instructions for Organic Cotton Garments

  1. Washing
  • Machine Wash Cold (Max 30°C / 86°F): Wash your organic cotton garments in cold water to prevent color fading and preserve fabric integrity.
  • Gentle Cycle: Use the gentle or delicate cycle to avoid wear and tear on the fabric and natural dyes.
  • Turn Garments Inside Out: To protect the natural dyes and fabric, turn your garments inside out before washing.
  1. Detergent
  • Mild Detergent: Use a gentle, eco-friendly detergent that is free from harsh chemicals, bleach, and artificial fragrances. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers and affect the natural properties of the cotton.
  • No Bleach: Never use bleach or strong stain removers, as they can damage both the fabric and the environment.
  1. Drying
  • Air Dry: For best results, lay your garments flat to dry or hang them in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading of natural dyes.
  • Avoid Tumble Drying: Do not tumble dry your organic cotton garments, as heat can cause shrinkage and weaken the fabric over time.
  1. Ironing
  • Low Heat Ironing: If needed, iron on a low setting while the garment is still slightly damp or place a cloth between the iron and fabric to protect the fibers.
  • Steam Ironing: Use a steam iron to remove wrinkles without applying direct heat to the garment.
  1. Storage
  • Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep your garments in a cool, dry area to avoid damage from moisture or excessive heat. Store them in a well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.
  1. Stain Removal
  • Spot Clean When Necessary: If a stain occurs, gently blot the area with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh chemicals.
